On Saturday 12th of January the club had a juvenile social night in the Castle Hotel Blarney. On the night our victorious u12 and u14 teams received their medals, presented by Cork senior hurler and all-star winner Mark Coleman. The u14s won the B1 North Cork football championship in September beating Clyda Rvers in the final on a score line of 1-7 to 2-3. Our u12s meanwhile won the league double beating Lisgoold 2-7 to 2-5 in the B1 hurling final and less than two weeks later beating Glenville in the football final on a score line of 2-8 to 2-3.
It was a fantastic year for both teams and a lot of credit has to go to both sets of trainers who put in a mammoth effort throughout the year. The evening was a great way to celebrate the success and we’re sure the lads will all be anxious to drive things on again this year.
Special thanks to our guest on the night Mark Coleman, the staff at the Castle Hotel, the support of the parents and Juvenile and Social committee who helped organise a very enjoyable evening.
